This course will help you understand what plants you can grow through the cold, grey months of the year and which need more light and heat for late spring and summer harvests.
We will take you around our own veg garden and explain the use of raised beds, polytunnel and out-door growing styles we use. How to make your own fetiliser and improve your soil quality naturally without the use of any non-organic fertilisers. We will cover a range of crops including quick cut-and-come again crops such as salad leaves, herbs and leafy greens plus growing in season and how to store/preserve your fruit and veg.
What's included: Lunch, refreshments, tools and materials are all provided, This course takes place outside so please dress for the weather and bring a strong pair of thorn proof gloves and wear sturdy footwear.
