This course will go through our whole farm rearing and dispatch process to show and explain how and why we are different to commercial farms.
Starting with day-old chicks we will walk and talk through how we rear our animals, then move on to the dispatch and cleaning of the birds and the butchery session.
We will show you how to truss a whole chicken, along with all the standard cutting styles, including portions (breast, drumstick, thigh, wings), curry peices and boneless. You will be provided with your own chicken to cut to your desired specifications and take home with you at the end of the session.

Suitable for ages 18+ due to the use of knives. We will be providing all the tools and clothing necessary.

Arrive at 10am to set up in cafe with your friends and family, choose your pumpkin and get carving! You can use our ideas and templates, or get creative and make your own personal designs.
Home-cooked pumpkin soup included, prepared from our own vegetables!
Suitable for all ages. Children must be supervised by parent/guardian at all times due to the use of knives and carving tools. We will be providing all the tools necessary. All pumpkin waste can be fed to the chickens at the end of the session.
