Join us for an introductory course on how to produce one of the all time British classics - the apple pie! Using organic apples from Willowbrook Farm!
This cookery course is a fun and informal introduction to the culinary world, with techniques and ideas that will inspire you to get cooking at home. Suited to beginners or home bakers wanting to refine their techniques.
During the day you will create two apple pies, one to bake during the course and one to take home with you. As well as catering for traditional apple pie lovers Ghazala will reveal how to customise your pies to introduce alternative pastry styles and ingredients to give them your own distinctive flavour.
Course Times: 12.00 - 4.00. There will be a short break for refreshments with a complimentary slice of pie and tea.
Each pie will serve 4-5 people so you will have a mini feast to take home and share with family and friends.
All ingredients, equipment and recipes are provided by Willowbrook Farm and Ghazala Agostini
*This class is our first (of many hopefully) cookery classes and is being run at a special introductory price! However there are only 15 spaces available!*
These workshops would usually cost £80, however we are running our first at a reduced price of £39. Don't miss out!
Ghazala Agostini is an artisan baker, specialising in home-made Italian, Indian and English cuisine. You may already know her cakes from our Open Day and other events as she makes all the cakes in our cafe! For this course she will be especially focusing on teaching you all about different pastry styles and adding special ingredients to the mix to give a personalised taste and added crispy kick to the pie crust.
