About the Event

This introduction to foraging course is a countryside adventure that teaches participants how to identify, gather, and dry ingredients for a wild lunch and herbal tea. This hands-on experience provides an opportunity to learn about the different types of plants and herbs found in the local area and how to identify them, as well as how to safely and sustainably harvest them.

The course will cover the basics of foraging, including techniques for identifying edible plants, learning about their nutritional and medicinal properties, and how to prepare them for consumption. Participants will also learn about different types of plants and herbs that can be used to make herbal teas, and how to properly dry and store them for later use.

This immersive experience will give participants a greater understanding of the natural world around them, and provide them with the skills and knowledge needed to confidently forage for wild food and herbs on their own. The course will culminate with a delicious wild lunch and herbal tea made entirely from the ingredients gathered during the foray.
