ORDER BY 3PM SUNDAY FOR DELIVERY THURSDAY

The first hints of spring are appearing on the farm, snowdrops, daffodils and tulips are emerging from the soil and our first lambs have been born!

Whilst this should be a cause for optimism, there are so many winter jobs still uncompleted it is difficult to see how we will get enough done before we open again to the public in April. However come rain or shine, wind or snow, we are aiming to hold our first event on Sunday 1st April – The Easter Chocolate Egg Hunt!

In the meantime we would be happy to receive volunteers, ready for a hard days work to join us. The compost loos are being re-assembled in their new location. Paths and fences are being improved and new poultry houses established. There is plenty to do and any help is very much appreciated.

Our most significant development is the completion and approval of our on site abattoir. We are now pleased to say that all of our poultry are killed on site. As a result we control the whole process of brooding, rearing, slaughter and packaging of our poultry. A true farm to fork process. This is not only good news for our birds who live stress free lives and are not transported miles to the abattoir but also for our customers who can be assured that they are receiving animals reared, killed and processed with welfare and hygiene considerations paramount.
